In the recent article, Great Crisis Leaders: 10 Key Characteristics, by Pat Rowe, we are reminded of how leaderships’ core beliefs will affect the success or demise of a company or country. These steps include intellectual integrity, the ability to see the big picture, willingness to consider mutiple options, decisiveness, collaboration, and even listen to unpopular advice, while remaining calm, courageous and positive, taking risks, not being afraid to make a mistake, and having the willingness to admit when and if one is made.

John Edwards surfaces to debate Karl Rove

The Santa Barbara News-Press published a new story on November 13, 2008, regarding John Edwards and his re-surfacing into the public eye. “It’s a very good way to just poke your head out a little bit, see what happens, see what public reaction is like,” says Jonathan Bernstein, a California-based crisis management consultant. “Humility and honesty go a long way to repairing an image.”

(kinda fun to see in print, huh?)
