Three Crisis Leaders in North America Launch The Crisis Show on Google Hangouts Beginning on June 13

New York, June 8, 2012 -- Two leading crisis/litigation communications experts in the United States and one of the leading social media crisis experts in Canada are joining forces to launch a weekly Internet broadcast aimed at educating businesses, organizations and individuals about the best practices to protect reputation online and off.

The broadcast, known as The Crisis Show, will be streamed over Google Hangouts On Air every Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET beginning on June 13.  The show will analyze some of the most high profile crisis events around the world, including natural and man-made disasters, terrorism/violent crimes, workplace violence, white-collar crimes, product recalls and missteps by executives, public officials and celebrities - as well as some of the most notorious social media crises.

The idea for the show originated with Rich Klein, president of LawFirmsPR and Rich Social Media in New York and founder of the Crisis Communications Network on Ning.com, a resource for reputation management. His co-hosts, who will co-produce the show, are Jonathan Bernstein of Bernstein Crisis Management in Sierra Madre, CA, a global crisis management practitioner, and Melissa Agnes, of MelissaAgnes.com, a social media crisis expert in Montreal.

"Jonathan and I teamed up nicely in the past on Blog Talk Radio in which we discussed crisis/litigation communications," Klein said. "But, with this new technology, we can be much more interactive with each other and our audience and hopefully spread the word about the importance or preparing for the worst. I met Melissa through Jonathan and was so impressed with her online videos on social media crises that it just made sense for the three of us to work together."

Bernstein, author of Manager's Guide To Crisis Management and Keeping the Wolves At Bay , said: "I'm both a crisis manager and a technology nerd, so Rich's idea really resonated with me.  I also admit to a sometimes-wicked sense of humor, and hope to bring that to our show as well."

Agnes, who has rapidly made a name for herself in Canada and beyond with a series of educational videos on how to handle a social media crisis, said:

"There's no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to work with two top crisis managers and help organizations better protect their reputations.  Rich has a great concept here and I'm proud to be part of it."

The show will originate on Google Hangouts but a link to the live feed will be found on a wide variety of sites, including YouTube.  As part of each week's show, the trio will be showing videos and/or online coverage of crisis situations and analyzing them for the audience.  The show will also include special guests, including CEOs, attorneys, various spokespeople and crisis management-related experts from around the world.
